Enrique Rocha-Rangel was born in Mexico City. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in metallurgical engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico in 1991 and the Ph.D. degree in metallurgy and materials from the same institution in 1999. He has conducted research stays with the Materials Function Control Laboratory at the Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan in 1998 and 2018. He also did a post-doctorate at the Mechanical Properties & Mechanics Group of the Oak Ridge National Laboratories, USA.
From 1992 to 2008, he was a Research Assistant with the Materials Science Laboratory, Metropolitan Autonomous University, Mexico. From 2008 to 2009, he was a Research Assistant with the Metallurgy and Materials Department, from the National Polytechnic Institute, Mexico. Since 2009 he is a Senior Researcher with the Department of Advanced Materials, Victoria Polytechnic University, Tamaulipas, MĂ©xico. Is author of four books, more than 120 articles and four patents. His research interests include synthesis and characterization of materials.
