Lothar Strüder is CEO and co-founder of the company PNSensor,
performing research and development of advanced radiation detectors.
He holds a PhD in physics from the Technical University of Munich and a
professorship at the physics department of the University of Siegen.
His research interests comprise the study of the limits of measurement precision
of ionizing radiation with semiconductor detectors. He published more than
450 scientific papers and gave more than 500 contributed and invited talks.
Prominent projects lead by Lothar Strüder were the development of position,
energy and time resolving detectors for astronomy and astrophysics,
synchrotron and X-ray free electron laser experiments and state-of-the-art
laboratory instrumentation. He received numerous awards for his scientific and
technical work. He is a fellow of the MAS.
