Postdoctoral Researcher
Carnegie Mellon University
Recently, I joined Prof. Elizabeth Dickey’s group as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Material Science and Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. My work focuses on the application of advanced STEM techniques for the characterization of novel ferroelectric materials at the atomic scale. Previously, I worked as a postdoctoal researcher at International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL), under a Marie-curie co-fund research fellowship to perform advanced characterization by transmission electron microscopy with a special emphasis on differential phase contrast (DPC) in STEM and STEM-EELS for nanomaterials.
I completed a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Minho – Portugal in 2016 and received my B.S. in Physics Engineering from the National University of Colombia in 2006 and M.S in Materials Engineering from the same University in 2009.
