Chunyang Wang is currently a postdoc of DeepEM Lab (Xin Group) at University of California, Irvine. He received his PhD from Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science (SYNL), Institute of Metal Research (IMR), Chinese Academy of Sciences in June 2019. His current research focuses on in-situ TEM, electron tomography, cryo-TEM and their applications in the working and failure mechanisms of battery materials and metals/alloys. So far, he has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in Nature, Nat. Mater., Nat. Energy, Nat. Nanotechnol., Matter, PRL, Nano Lett., Adv. Mater., ACS Energy Lett., JACS, Nat. Commun., Chem. Rev., etc. As first/co-first author, he has published 20 papers in Nature, Nature Materials, Nature Energy, Matter(3), PRL, Nano Lett.(4), Adv. Mater., ACS Energy Lett., etc. He received the MSA Postdoctoral Scholar Award in 2022. Since 2023, he serves as a member of the Proposal Review Panel (PRP) and Users' Executive Committee (UEC) for the Center for Functional Nanomaterials (CFN), a DOE user facility at Brookhaven National Lab (BNL).
