Dr. Wenjie Zang is a postdoctoral scholar in Professor Xiaoqing Pan’s group in the department of Materials Science and Engineering in the University of California, Irvine. She received her Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Professor Stephen J. Pennycook and Professor John Wang from National University of Singapore in 2021. Her research focuses on developing multi-dimensional metal-based catalysts and investigating their applications in heterogeneous catalysis to solve the problems concerning the processes of energy conversion, storage, and utilization. Through atomic-resolution electron microscopy and spectroscopy, she also explores both electronic and structural dynamics in catalysts under realistic working conditions. Until now, She has published 17 papers as first or co-first authors in high-ranked journals, including Nature Nanotechnology, Advanced Materials, ACS Catalysis, etc.
