Josué David has a bachelor’s in chemistry with expertise in food chemistry and renewable materials. His master’s degree in nanoscience, materials, and process in Spain allows him to introduce the study of biological samples using the advantage of nanoscience, super-resolution, and electron microscopies. After obtaining his Ph. D. in nanoscience applied to biological materials, he is working on a postdoctoral research project for the isolation of biopolymers from agro-industrial residues with a circular economy application in the development of biodegradable and compostable food packaging. His area of expertise is the synthesis, processing, and characterization of organic and inorganic micro and nanomaterials for further application in food, sensors, and environmental issues. His most outstanding skills are the examination of structure, mechanism, and applications of materials within microscopic techniques (LM, CLSM, SIM, TIRF, PALM, AFM, TEM), a range of spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, XRD, XPS, EDS) as well other techniques such as laser diffraction analysis (particle size), dry and wet ball milling processing, texture analysis, 3D printing, thermal analysis (TGA and DSC), ultrasound processing, electrochemistry, and image analysis.
