Mohamed Nawwar is a Ph.D. student in the Materials Science and Engineering program at The Ohio State University. Mohamed graduated Summa Cum Laude from Central Washington University in 2020 with a major in Physics and an interdisciplinary minor. During his undergraduate degree, he worked under the supervision of Dr. Benjamin White and Dr. Anne Cubilié, where he studied the chemical distortion effect on Ba0.6K0.4BiO3 superconductor, and economic development in South Korea, respectively. His current research focus is the synthesis of novel topological magnons under the supervision of Dr. Vicky Doan-Nguyen.
