Nicolas Brodusch works as a Research Assistant in the Mining and Materials Engineering Department at McGill University, Montréal, Canada, and as the Chief Electron Microscopist at the McGill Electron Microscopy Research Group since 2010. He obtained his Master of Sciences in Material Sciences Engineering at the Université Paris-Saclay, Orsay, in 2018. Involved in the field of electron microscopies since 2007, his research interests are in developing and improving new techniques to push the limits of imaging and analysis in the field of scanning electron microscopy imaging, energy dispersive (EDS) and electron energy loss (EELS) spectroscopies and electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and are mainly focused in the low accelerating voltage range of operation of scanning (SEM) and scanning transmission (STEM) electron microscopes. He contributed as the main author or as a co-author to the redaction of more than 65 scientific publications in diverse electron microscopy topics and was awarded in 2014 for the Best Techniques and Instrumentation Development paper for year 2013 in the Microscopy and Microanalysis journal.
