Yael Tsarfati is a postdoctoral fellow in the Molecular Foundry Division at Lawrence Berkeley National lab.
Yael studies the microstructure of organic soft materials from the nanoscale to the mesoscale using the 4D-STEM technique;
specifically thin films of polymeric semiconductors from the mixed (ionic, electronic) conductors’ class.
This postdoctoral research is a collaboration between the labs of Andy Minor from Berkeley Lab and Alberto Salleo from Stanford.
Previously, Yael Tsarfati obtained her MSc and PhD in Chemistry from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. Her doctoral work focused on the crystallization mechanisms of small organic molecules in aqueous solutions. Her MSc research involved processability of carbon nanotubes (CNT) in solutions as composites of Perylene Diimide/CNT.
