I am a PhD student in Dr. Rengasayee Veeraraghavan’s Nanocardiology Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The Ohio State University. The focus of my research is to understand the mechanistic underpinnings of atrial fibrillation in order to develop more precise, evidence-based therapies. Much of my work involves using various experimental (optical mapping, ECG) and microscopy (TEM, confocal, STED, STORM) techniques to investigate the impact of cardiomyocyte structural changes on cardiac function.
I have a curious mind and an inherent passion for discovery. I am a self-driven and independent worker, but appreciate a collaborative team environment. My general long-term goal is to work in translational research and help develop mechanistically based diagnoses and therapies.
