After completing his dissertation work in Spring 2020 at Georgia Tech, Matthew Boebinger became a Postdoctoral Research Associate at ORNL's Center for Nanophase Materials Science in the Materials MicroĂ…nalysis Group primarily working for the Directed Nanoscale Transformation theme science directive. His research expertise is on the use of advanced in situ characterization techniques using electron microscopes to investigate the nanoscale transformations that materials undergo as a result of a variety of external stimuli. Current work involves the use of automated electron beam manipulation in STEM for direct fabrication and characterization of 2D materials.
