Liza-Anastasia DiCecco (she/her) is a current Banting Postdoctoral Scholar with the Deb Kelly Lab at the Pennsylvania State University, focusing on using and developing liquid and cryo electron microscopy techniques to study biological materials. Ph.D. experience from the Grandfield Research Group at McMaster University in Materials Engineering (NSERC Vanier Scholar funded, the most prestigious doctoral award in Canada), focusing on better understanding the mechanisms behind biomineralization processes and using and developing advanced electron microscopy methods to characterize bone structures and biological materials. During her Ph.D., Liza was the Student Representative of the Microscopical Society of Canada for 2 years. Past University of Windsor Alumni. B.A.Sc. & M.A.Sc. related to Mechanical and Materials Engineering with research in additive manufacturing processes and characterization.
